This two floors apartment in Amsterdam is being transferred to fit the needs of the new owners.
By taring down all the walls on the entrance floor, it has become one big open space.
The different functions – kitchen, dining area, living room, and work/play area, will be defined by specially designed and tailor-made furniture.
Thus, eye contact and the feeling of being together will be maintained through all the public space. While still allowing a sense of privacy in different areas.
On the second floor, we have moved the bathroom and created an extra full-size bedroom.
So what was once, a two-bedroom apartment, with many dividing walls, has turned into a three-bedroom apartment with a large open-space public area on an entire floor.
